Guidelines for Posting

This site exists so that those interested in anthroposophy and Waldorf education in Northern California  can get together and communicate with each other.  Please post your events on this site!  We also welcome relevant articles and news.  You may post in two ways:

  1. Type what you want to post into the Contact form, and upload a picture as well.  Then, an administrator will post it for you.
  2. Become a “registered user/poster” and write your posts directly through the WordPress Dashboard.  To do this, you must first request to become an Author/User by Contacting the administrator.  Then, instructions on how to post can be found here.

We want to keep the website primarily as a forum for sharing information and news regarding anthroposophy and Waldorf education, without undue emphasis on marketing of any individual organization or service provider.  For these reasons, we recommend using the following guidelines regarding frequency of posting:

Study Groups and Branches:

Unlimited postings.  We recommend re-announcing your study group several times per year, at times when a new cycle starts, or if a new book is taken up, for example.  Please announce any seasonal celebrations that are open to wider participants, and any special events.  Individuals who are seeking to start new study groups may also post with contact information to determine interest and connect.  Study group hosts should be sure to check periodically that the contact information and meeting time posted on the site’s pages are current.

Schools and Organizations:

4 postings per year for your school or organization’s main purpose.  For example, two Open Houses and two Open Enrollment announcements.  Additional unlimited postings for events that are open to the public, such as Harvest Festival, May Faire, parent education, and study groups.  Organizations should be sure to check every 6 months that their contact information is correct on the site’s pages.

Service Providers:

2 postings per year to announce your services to the community.  Additional postings for events that are open to the public, such as lectures and workshops.  Be sure to update the webmaster when your contact information changes.

Authors of Articles:

Unlimited postings, within reasonable limits of decorum.  We welcome all budding and expert authors to contribute articles of interest regarding anthroposophy and Waldorf education, including seasonal festivals.  Poetry and artwork will also be considered for publication.  We are willing to reprint articles, with the permission of the original printer.

Everyone:

This website and its associated email newsletter are not to be used as a substitute for a personal blog or an organization’s own mailing list.  Advertisements veiled as articles will not be approved.  For better and for worse, there is no advertisement on this site, so we are unable to accommodate requests to post ads.  Likewise, we are unable to accommodate postings regarding barter/sale items and the like.
