MOVING WORDS, A pre-performance talk by Daniel Polikoff
In times of fire, flood, and social upheaval, poetry and fairy tale may seem inconsequential, yet such forms of imaginative expression console, inspire and educate the soul. After touching upon some of the cultural background relevant to Rudolf Steiner’s own sense of the vital role of art in life, the talk will offer perspectives on the special—and closely interrelated—characters of poetic language, fairy tale, and eurythmic movement. The talk is intended to prepare and enhance the experience of the performance for adults.
